Spanish???

So I went to the temple for the second time with my cousin today. I had an amazing time and was able to learn a lot because it wasn't as nerve racking and I could actually pay attention. I still have SO much more to learn in the temple though! It's such an amazing place! I'm so glad that I get to go a lot before my mission. My goal is to go at least once a week, but more if I can!
I've been having thoughts and impressions lately that I need to study/learn Spanish before I leave. At first I just put it off and thought that I was being crazy. But today in the temple, I just knew that I needed to. And from what we learn from President Monson is that we should NEVER IGNORE IMPRESSIONS/THE SPIRIT. I have no idea if I will even use it on my mission. I have just heard of so may missionaries getting called to Florida (Tampa even) Spanish speaking. I just want to be prepared. I don't want to miss an opportunity to teach and share my testimony of the gospel just because I don't know the language. Plus- I have heard that there are A LOT of people who speak Spanish who live in Florida.
I know you probably think I'm crazy and that I'm not going to learn the language before April. But I trust in my Heavenly Father that if he asks/prompts/inspires me to do something, that with him I can accomplish it. No matter what. I have full faith that I will learn at least what I need to know, if I do all that I can, have faith, and trust and rely completely on our Heavenly Father.
He knows exactly what we need. I know that he will lead and guide me to people that need to hear the gospel at this time. I know I say this at the end of every post like this- BUT I SERIOUSLY CANNOT EVEN WAIT!!!
Oh and I just wanted to thank my Sister Ashley and my friends Hailee, Jackie, and Kailey for helping me through these past couple of hard days when my mom hasn't really been avaliable. I couldn't do it without you guys! I love you!

Devotional- Gratitude

We had this great devotional yesterday about being grateful for things. Lets just say- I needed it. I haven't been the happiest camper lately, and there are a lot of reasons for that, but I've just been mean. I was trying to figure out how to change that and I have no idea how this didn't enter my brain because we have been taught this so much. Anyways. I started a gratitude journal and I know that it will help me! I guess stress just makes me a very angry person... but I'm so grateful for my family first of all for putting up with me. And my great friends (Christina, Kailey, and Jackie) for putting up with me. And my Heavenly Father, for always forgiving me even when I keep making these silly mistakes.

Memory #1!

For my family history class I had to make some goals to try and achieve by the end of the semester that has to do with getting our family history started. My New Testament Professor told us that if we would just write done one memory that we have every single Sunday that in a year we would have 40 plus memories that we might not have written down before and that’s a start to your own family history. So- I have decided to do that. Especially because I was not that great at keeping a journal throughout my life and I have some fun memories that I know I’m going to forget sooner or later.

So here it goes- memory number one.

My senior year we had the craziest Sadie’s ever! We love telling the story because everything that could have gone wrong, did. I was in a group with me, Ashley, Kailey, Jackie, Christina, her friend Dana. I have to tell you, this was one the thee most fun dates/dances that I have ever been too. We were planning on painting black shirts with neon paint and all having a sports number on the back and a name of one of the seven dwarfs. We thought we were super clever because it was a costume dance and we wanted it to be cheep and kind of have a theme. So we met at a park to do the shirts. We were already running late because we picked up our dates and it took a little too long. It was raining.  Of course. Luckily there was a cover so we went under there. We got pain everywhere. You can still see it all there today. We were splattering paint on the shirts and throwing paintbrushes. We hadn’t really thought of how we were going to get these shirts to a place they could dry. So we piled in our cars, in the rain with wet shirts. Everyone had to be super careful not to get the permanent paint on the cars (let’s just say Kailey still has remnants of this day all over her car). We got to my house finally and hung them in the garage to dry while we finished our day date (bad idea you’ll learn later). It was getting super late and we were debating on still going to the zoo or not. We decided to since that’s what we had planned. We got lost on the way there. We went off the wrong exit, almost hit a car twice, got off the wrong exit again, took the wrong turn off the right exit finally and then got lost in a neighborhood…
We finally made it to the zoo! It was still raining so no one was even there! That was actually pretty great. We still got to see all the animals and not a single person was in sight. We had the whole place to ourselves. Avery mad this really big gorilla mad and we all almost die (really though, it was pretty terrifying. He like put his fits against his chest and ran up and down his cage and then banged so hard on the glass! It was so freaky. Another gorilla ate it’s own poop. That was entertaining. Let’s just say we spend the bulk of our time with those guys. After we were done at the zoo we headed home and it was already getting dark. But guess what? Kailey’s car broke down. We still blame Andrew to this day because he was the one driving. We had her car with 4 people and then Christina’s suburban with 8 people. Because we needed to get back and we couldn’t fix the car all 12 of us pilled in the suburban! Oh. And we even pushed the car into a parking spot because it wouldn’t start (this was all in SLC ps). So as we illegally drive home we all are laughing and rocking out to music while there are like 3 people in the trunk. Oh man. That was just hilarious and great. I think we did pray before we left to keep us safe though. Oh! Another cool thing. The car ended up breaking down right in front of east high. We sang high school musical songs while the men were looking at the car. In the rain.
We finally made it home. We were planning on roasting hot dogs and stuff in my back yard. We still did even though it was pitch black. My awesome mom made the fire for us so we wouldn’t have to. She is a genius because it had been raining all day. I dunno how she got it started.  We had a really fun time around the fire laughing and eating food.
Because we put our shirts in the cold damp garage they didn’t dry. They were still completely wet! So we put on our funny hats and went to the dance! The dance wasn’t super fun, but we mad the best of it! I can’t remember what exactly happened after that, but we sure had a good time and are still talking about it today! So apparently it was memorable.

First Day of work and Grandparents

Today couldn't have been more fun!
I started my new job at Costco with one of my best friends.
I watched Spongebob all morning on my "new" tv.
I laughed a lot.
My mom brought me chicken nuggets for lunch.
I got to have several amazing conversations with Kailey.
I ate a Costco hotdog for my second lunch.
I went to Kailey's grandma's after work.
I love Kailey's grandparents so much! (that didn't really fit with the list, but it needed to be said)
We ate lime aid with the grandparents.
We ate yummy fish with the grandparents.
We ate delicious rice with the grandparents.
We ate yummy squashing with the grandparents.
We ate delicious vegetable chips with the grandparents.
We ate yummy strawberries and banana's covered in dark chocolate with the grandparents.
We watched the indescribable Phillip Phillips. (I did not say American Idol because I do not like Jessica)
We voted for thee Phillip Phillips.
We watched America's got talent.
We talked a lot.

And now I am writing this going over my amazing day in my head and wanting to live it all over again. :)

(but seriously Kailey's grandparents are really the best! That was pretty much the main point I wanted to get across. I shoulda wrote a thesis about it... sorry)

Happy Birthday Kailey!!! :D

OK I know there is a million pictures. But I have 5 million more! I just couldn't put them all! 1) I take too many pictures and 2) we have too many great times!
Kailey is one of the best friends I have ever had! She had some of the greatest qualities any one human being could ever posses!
She is HILARIOUS! Anyone that has ever talked to her knows that you can’t go 5min in a conversation with her without laughing so hard you pee your pants!
Going along with that she has the greatest sense of humor. You always see her laughing at everything, which always makes her happy and in a good mood 24/7!
Her laugh is ADORABLE! If you are around her and she’s laughing her guts out you can’t help but laugh along with her. Frequently we get into these crazy times where we just can’t stop laughing and everyone is starting at us.
She has a very pretty voice. I’ve only heard it a couple of times (when we were singing in the car) but it’s so pretty!!!!
She look beautiful in anything! I’m being 100% truthful right now! I’m always jealous because she looks gorgeous even when she’s in sweats and a t-shirt with no make-up! But seriously, she is one of the most beautiful people I have ever come in contact with. Inside, and out.
She always knows what to say! Anytime I’m feeling down or sad all I have to do is call her and she will make me laugh or make me feel good about myself. She definitely has a special gift for making people happy and knowing how, and what to say to them.
She has the kindest heart. She never judges people and can always find the good in everyone!
She is sensitive. Some people might say that’s not a good thing. But, I’m talking about it in a VERY good way. She listens to the spirit and always knows exactly what she needs to do. She feels things much deeper than other people, so if she was even mean to a little fly she feels bad ;) (Ok I promise that hasn’t happened, but you get my point).
Along with that she forgives others easily. She’s not the kind of girl to hold a grudge for longer than 10min. ;)
She is such a good friend!!! She will never let you down! You make plans, she’ll be there! You need someone to talk to? She’s your girl! Need someone to cry to? Her shoulder is always open! Need someone to complain to? She will be there to tell you it’s alright, even sometimes when you know it’s not, she’ll just be there to comfort you!
She is so HONEST! You can ask her any question and you know you will get her a straight truthful answer. I can always trust her with my secrets and know she won’t tell them to anyone. Plus, she just always tells the truth! I know that sounds like a little kid thing, but she really does!
The truth is she is one of the most Christ-like people I have ever met. She cares so much for everyone she comes in contact with. She would drop anything to come and help a friend. She takes care of her family in ways people don’t always see. She doesn’t expect anything for all the kind acts of service she does for her fellowmen. She has a close personal relationship with her Father in Heaven that we should all strive to develop. She knows who she is, and strives every day to be better. I love her so much and never want to lose her as a friend! I can’t wait till we both find our soul mates and have cute babies and have parties all the time! It’s going to be a blast! ;)
