New Years 2012/2013

I love New Years! I love the feeling of- starting fresh and new, everyone coming together to make goals, writing a new year when you write the date, the excitement around celebrating a new year, and the full feeling you get when you eat as much as you can on the 31st so you can start your "diet" the next day... or maybe the next... ;)
All of us have made it a goal that we would get together and party every New Years no matter what, even if we were married. I cannot even remember when we made that goal... but so far, we have kept it! This year was pretty low key. We went to my grandmas, ran to the store a couple times, played just dance, watched movies, watched the ball drop, screamed, ate, ate, and ate. It was pretty much just awesome and perfect :)
Sorry the pictures are totally out of order... it always does this to me.
Stuffed their shirts with pillows and did belly bumps.  Levi is a crazy head. He wouldn't even stay still for me to take a picture :)

We drink the cider of course :) no mustaches this time though

Right before midnight ;)

At Chuck E. Cheese. Papa bear haha we decided that's what it looks like

What noble people.

We made her ride this ride. Haha we thought that rest of us would break it ;)

Beautiful.

Little hangover

YEeeeeeeesssss.

Modeling I think....

We put this on my grandmas fridge.

This is us getting some tokens out of the game. Someone dropped like 10 down there! So- what better to do than get a straw and put some gum on it to get them all out ;) jackpot.

We of course watched our favorite movie that we quote and sing to the whole time, A Goofy Movie. Go watch it right now if you haven't seen it. It seriously is the greatest.

After the 3 younger girls scared the crap out of us.

In the morning eating Captain Crunch in honor of grandpa :)

We got the coins!

Our pile of chips. We ate them ALL!

Christmas 2012!

This year we decided to do homemade gifts. Christmas never really is a huge thing in my family. Well- at least it hasn't been for the past few years. That probably has something to do with us getting old and such... we kind of get things that we want in the year so we never need anything when it comes to Christmas. Like we couldn't even think of anything to ask for. Well- ok I could. I wanted luggage and a camera for my mission. But I just asked that if I were to get anything that I would be able to use on my  mission. That happened :)
We also got to do some sub for santa things for my moms work. We went to walmart and picked out cute things for little girls and boys ;) we really loved that part!
But anyways... I made my sisters these mini Book of Mormon cases... I guess you could call them. I figured out a pattern for a box that a mini BOM would fit just right in. Then I picked out cute paper for each of them, cut them out, printed part of a scripture on the front (Mosiah 18:9), laminated them, put ribbon on them so the Book wouldn't fall out, and made book marks with a quote by President Eyring on them. Then I made a list of 14 of my favorite scriptures and wrote it on each of the back and wrote my testimony to them in the front. It really made my Christmas season more meaningful and fun :) I got 2 super cute homemade scarfs from Katelyn, a beautiful picture of the Salt Lake temple that Ash took and had a quote put on it, super warm homemade pajama bottoms from Karly, and tons of cute homemade earrings that will be perfect for my mission from my mom :) our stockings had tons of fun treats and also some new undershirts, tights, leggings, and jewelry for all of us.
Over all it was very simple and memorable :)
Our cousins at the annual Bezzant Christmas party in their ugly sweaters :)

What time we woke up on  Christmas morning :)

Saturday MOTAB Christmas Concert

We got tickets to see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Concert on Saturday! We loved it last year and were excited to go again.
Saturday morning was spent playing Phase 10... all the way through. We always finish that game. No matter what. Then we headed to pick up Danny and go to Salt Lake.
We wanted to go somewhere nice for dinner, but everywhere was packed and the wait was too long for us to make it to the concert on time. We ended up eating at Panda Express and this other Chinese place at the Gateway. Not really what we wanted at all, but it was fine.
Then we headed to the concert!
To be honest we didn't really like the music as much this year, but it was still really beautiful and fun! The big surprise was the story at the end of the concert. I can't even try to explain the story because I know I will just butcher it. It touched me so much and I just wanted to cry. They even had the real man from the story that happened a long time ago! He was like 90 years old and still looked awesome! But ya. It almost made me cry. But you know how I can hold in my crying... unlike my laughter. They even dropped parachutes with candy from the celling. It was cool, but like I said also very touching and spiritual. I even ended up sending the story to Elder Miller and some pictures :)

On our way

We got pretty good seats

After words :)
