Elder Miller.

I can't believe that it's time for Austin to leave! I still don't think it has hit me yet. Austin has been one of my best friends for a really long time. I moved in when I was in 4th grade. He was in my Sunday School class and I immediately had this huge crush on him. He was cute and super flirty. At this time I was just figuring out boys, and figuring out that I liked them. So that made it even worse. We were in the same Sunday School for the rest of the time when we were youth. We talked a little bit here and there, at combined activities and ward parties and stuff. Just because we were the same age we saw each other a lot. I remember a point when I thought that he actually like me. It was when I was 15 and we were at our youth conference. We call it the "special" youth conference. For reasons that can be left unsaid... He flirted with me and Amanda a ton. What I didn't know, is that he really liked Amanda. The next summer in 2008 we started hanging out. Me, Ash, Christina, Amanda, Andrew, and Austin. That was a really fun summer. None of us had jobs or even a care in the world. It was a blast. We would talk sometimes all day on my porch. We got to know each other so well. We also would do fun things like go rafting down the canal, or walk to walmart plus a lot more. We all say that it was one of the most fun summers we have ever had. Austin and Amanda were really close... not really "going out" but ya know. Andrew and I were sorta really close too... but I still liked Austin a LOT. I hadn't stopped liking him since I was in 4th grade. But all of us just had fun. Especially when we had youth conference in Moab. Then once school started I kind of drifted away from Andrew, and Austin started dating someone else. We were still way good friends. But I was kind of sad. Mainly just because he was my friend, not really because I liked him. Homecoming... that was a disaster on my part. Zach asked me, and I was a jerk to him because Austin was in our group and I still really liked him. I was a little jealous. So I butchered that date. Then he broke it off with his girlfriend and he told me that he liked me. I got my first C ever in Astronomy because he was in my class. Plus, our teacher hated us, and we got in trouble a lot. I remember him telling me that he also liked this other girl and it was kind of between me and her right now. He started going out with her for a little bit, and then broke it off. After that we first held hands at Jeff's farewell party and had our first kiss in the parking lot after my sisters game. We started officially "going out" the next day at combined mutual. You can see from the pictures all the fun times that we had together. And those aren't even all of them. Now I'm not going to go into detail about how many times we broke our relationship off and things like that. I hardly remember how many times it was or for what reasons. But really, it doesn't even matter. I just know, that we had so many good times and moments. Every day I remember learning something new about relationships, love, friendship, myself, and him. But I was for sure not good at a relationship and ruined that. We broke it off after about a year. It hurt me more than I can even express. I regret ruining that relationship. I still believe that everything happens for a reason. But I know it was for the best (plus, this post is not my sob story, it's just a summary of our friendship). We have just been really great friends for the past year and a half, and I'm totally loving that as well :) a lot less pressure, and not as much fighting. He is just an amazing person. He will make the people of Georgia so happy, and will make a really lucky girl amazingly happy someday. :) I feel so lucky to be able to call him one of my best friends, and to be able to have spent so much time, fun, and laughs together. I am going to miss him more than I can even explain. But I know with all my heart that he is doing the right thing and I could not be more happy for him!

These pictures are not in order by date or anything. They are actually super random, sorry about that!

Memory #1!

For my family history class I had to make some goals to try and achieve by the end of the semester that has to do with getting our family history started. My New Testament Professor told us that if we would just write done one memory that we have every single Sunday that in a year we would have 40 plus memories that we might not have written down before and that’s a start to your own family history. So- I have decided to do that. Especially because I was not that great at keeping a journal throughout my life and I have some fun memories that I know I’m going to forget sooner or later.

So here it goes- memory number one.

My senior year we had the craziest Sadie’s ever! We love telling the story because everything that could have gone wrong, did. I was in a group with me, Ashley, Kailey, Jackie, Christina, her friend Dana. I have to tell you, this was one the thee most fun dates/dances that I have ever been too. We were planning on painting black shirts with neon paint and all having a sports number on the back and a name of one of the seven dwarfs. We thought we were super clever because it was a costume dance and we wanted it to be cheep and kind of have a theme. So we met at a park to do the shirts. We were already running late because we picked up our dates and it took a little too long. It was raining.  Of course. Luckily there was a cover so we went under there. We got pain everywhere. You can still see it all there today. We were splattering paint on the shirts and throwing paintbrushes. We hadn’t really thought of how we were going to get these shirts to a place they could dry. So we piled in our cars, in the rain with wet shirts. Everyone had to be super careful not to get the permanent paint on the cars (let’s just say Kailey still has remnants of this day all over her car). We got to my house finally and hung them in the garage to dry while we finished our day date (bad idea you’ll learn later). It was getting super late and we were debating on still going to the zoo or not. We decided to since that’s what we had planned. We got lost on the way there. We went off the wrong exit, almost hit a car twice, got off the wrong exit again, took the wrong turn off the right exit finally and then got lost in a neighborhood…
We finally made it to the zoo! It was still raining so no one was even there! That was actually pretty great. We still got to see all the animals and not a single person was in sight. We had the whole place to ourselves. Avery mad this really big gorilla mad and we all almost die (really though, it was pretty terrifying. He like put his fits against his chest and ran up and down his cage and then banged so hard on the glass! It was so freaky. Another gorilla ate it’s own poop. That was entertaining. Let’s just say we spend the bulk of our time with those guys. After we were done at the zoo we headed home and it was already getting dark. But guess what? Kailey’s car broke down. We still blame Andrew to this day because he was the one driving. We had her car with 4 people and then Christina’s suburban with 8 people. Because we needed to get back and we couldn’t fix the car all 12 of us pilled in the suburban! Oh. And we even pushed the car into a parking spot because it wouldn’t start (this was all in SLC ps). So as we illegally drive home we all are laughing and rocking out to music while there are like 3 people in the trunk. Oh man. That was just hilarious and great. I think we did pray before we left to keep us safe though. Oh! Another cool thing. The car ended up breaking down right in front of east high. We sang high school musical songs while the men were looking at the car. In the rain.
We finally made it home. We were planning on roasting hot dogs and stuff in my back yard. We still did even though it was pitch black. My awesome mom made the fire for us so we wouldn’t have to. She is a genius because it had been raining all day. I dunno how she got it started.  We had a really fun time around the fire laughing and eating food.
Because we put our shirts in the cold damp garage they didn’t dry. They were still completely wet! So we put on our funny hats and went to the dance! The dance wasn’t super fun, but we mad the best of it! I can’t remember what exactly happened after that, but we sure had a good time and are still talking about it today! So apparently it was memorable.

Twilight, Basketball, Dating, and Abe Lincoln

This week has been a pretty fun/crazy one!
On Wednesday I got to hangout with Christina and party! We ate McDonald's, ate cold stone, and watched Breaking Dawn (I know,  I REALLY do hate those things, but I just had to know the ending...). It was super fun to spend time with her and just be able to talk :)
Later that night... ya, I watched it again. Don't judge. I just didn't understand it the first time because we were talking the whole time and then Emily watched it with me the second time so I asked a lot of questions (if you really think about it, that movie doesn't make a whole lot of sense for people who haven't read the book). I have read the first 3 books. But, honestly, I don't remember them even a little bit. Sorry for those Twilight Fans. I really don't like the books or movies at all. They bore me, and they have been made into a big deal over nothing. Harry Potter, ya I like Harry Potter and I can understand that. But I just don't really think Twilight was very well written and the story line is... ya I don't know. Sorry for the rambling moment. To be clear, I do not hate people who are obsessed with it :) ha, they just make me laugh.
On Thursday I went to my cousin Katie's last basketball game. She is a senior so it was her senior night. She played AMAZING! I haven't gotten to see her play much, so it was fun to go to the last game! Plus, I got to see my cousin Levi dance, see Nate's basketball fingers (he's the next Jimmer, I promise you), and talk to my Aunt Natalie and Uncle Dale :)
Then I just went home and talked on the phone with Zach :)
Friday I went to my dress fitting which went amazing :) it's perfect! Then I cleaned the house and went to the men's volleyball game on a double date with my cousin and her boyfriend:) That was a blast and we totally WON! Then we went to get frosty's and headed back to our place and watched Harry Potter :)
Saturday. This was the greatest day! I slept in till 12:45pm! Apparently my body really needed some serious sleep because I went to be at 2:00 the night before and now that I think of it, I really didn't get that much sleep this week. I just needed some catch up. So that was great. Then I got ready. Studied with Tanner and then we headed to a concert. It was AMAZING! It was an orchestra concert that we went to see for our Music class, but we ended up loving it! Then we ate this delicious crepe (oreo creme, SOOOOOO good!) and watched Money Ball at my house. It was super fun :)
Sunday.... well that's today. I went to my church at 8:30 and then Jackie texted me and said she wanted me to come to one of her missionaries homecoming.
Ok. This requires an explanation. So he was one of her missionaries because he had broken his thumb in the MTC so they wouldn't send him to his mission in Romania until he was healthy. So he just served with 2 other missionaries in Eagle Mountain while he was recovering. We were lucky enough to meet him. Jackie wrote him on his mission so he wanted her to come to the homecoming because he's from Salt Lake.
So we went to that. Ha, we were a little late. For some reason the address on Facebook wasn't right. Luckily the church was right around where the weird address lead us too so we just asked a nice man shoveling his driveway where the church was. IT WAS TOTALLY MEANT TO BE!
It was great! 2 of her other missionaries were there so she was just beaming the whole time. She was having the time of her life with them. I think she was wishing that she could have gone back to that great time :)
After we went to the luncheon at his house and had fun laughing with the missionaries.
Then me and Jackie went to her old young women leaders house and laughed and talked for a while. Then, we went to Austin's house and played games and watched TV shows. Oh, and worked out apparently, I'm pretty strong I can bench 80 pounds! That's pretty good for someone who hasn't lifted in a while!
Then I went to my families amazing family night. Abe Lincoln came and talked to us! Ha it was funny, informational, and spiritual all at the same time. It was fun to see my family and have a good time :)
Well, sorry for the boring update :) I had a fabulous week even if that doesn't sound like much :)

Locksmith Anyone???

This is a pretty interesting story... it defiantly shows why we have the sign on our apartment door that says: "Don't forget your keys!"
First off, I always forget my keys. I have been locked out numerous times. I'm so grateful for my wonderful roommates who are always so kind when they have to come let me in. :)
So one of my friends Devin asked me on a date for Saturday night. We had fun going to the volleyball game (even thought they lost) and going to get ice cream at Cold Stone afterwords. Then I was getting tired so we headed back to my apartment. We were walking up the stairs and I stopped and said, "Oh my heck. I forgot my keys."
Now normally this wouldn't be a big issue, but Alyssa was in Vegas and Emily was at home. We tried getting the window to open. It wouldn't budge (funny story about that. One time Emily was locked out, but it was in the summer, we had one of our windows open a little bit and she actually climbed through! Soooo funny!). So we were calling all kinds of people in our ward seeing if anyone could pick locks. No one could. So, we were coming up with all these other plans. Luckily Emily was going to be back that night so we just had to wait it out.
We went over to someone in our wards house and hung out with them for a little bit. They were great and we had a fun time ;)
So then Emily got home and I was able to get in. Haha I felt so stupid! But it was pretty funny I have to say, and Devin was really nice to stay with me until I was able to get in ;)

ExCiTInG nEwS! ;) Suuuurrre...

SO I decided something, my life is sort of boring…
I read all of these people’s blogs that are having babies, getting married, and starting new chapters in their lives. Nope. Not me. So, I just wanted to apologize to everyone hopefully something fun and interesting will happen in my life soon and I will have a post that is actually interesting. ;) Not to say that my life isn’t interesting, because to me, it is and I absolutely love my life right now and couldn’t ask for anything more.
Anyways, I’m going to attempt to tell you all of the “exciting” things that are happening in my life as of right now J
Last week there was a parent meeting for the Miss. Saratoga Springs pageant 2012. Wow. I seriously cannot believe it has been a year. I seriously need my life to just slow down and STOP! I have had way to much fun being Miss. Saratoga this year I can’t imagine it being over! I never want it to end! But, I guess I have to just face the fact that it is ending and that I’m not going to be a queen anymore :( I actually almost started crying believe it or not, even though that sounds pathetic… but it really just hit me that it’s going to end in less than 2 months, and I’m not so sure I’m ok with that. But, as for now I’m just going to enjoy my time right now still being Miss. Saratoga because I still have quite a few more things to do. So it’s not over yet!!! J
Next I went on a date on Saturday J I guess I haven’t really been writing about my dating experiences… so starting now I will because sometimes that can be really entertaining J It was way fun! I just met him and right after I did he called me and asked me on a date J so, anyways we went ice-skating and went to cold stone :) it was a blast! We talked forever and it was just a really good experience.
MMmmmm let me think of sometime else… Oh! Ash, well her team has been doing really good. They actually have officially started their region and have only lost 2 games so far. But, on her game on Tuesday she strained her LCL. Let me just say, she isn’t very happy about it… it has been killing her… but hopefully she will be able to start playing by the end of this week, or next.
I went to see Beauty and the Beast with Jackie, Karly, and Katelyn. That was pretty fun! It was fun to see it huge and in 3D. We were all astonished at all the things we had missed in the movie just watching it normally. Plus it was fun because it was a late movie so there weren't very many people in the theater just us a couple some teens and a big group of girls our age behind us. We just had one big giant sing-a-long :) Party!
School, I don’t know how I haven’t started talking about school yet, but it’s been going great! I’ve learned that actually keeping up on the reading is VERY VERY helpful and making things a million times easier. I figured out that by the end of this semester I will have 28.0 credits…. In 8 months! That’s how many I had over my whole high school year. Wow. It’s crazy to think about… and I’ll be done with my first year of college (yes)! Then I won’t have to tell people I’m a freshman anymore and have them back away in fear….
So that’s my great exciting life for ya!
