A little more about... me

Peanut m&m's are NOT worth the calories. Even if it is chocolate.
I prefer all the blinds and the windows to be open. Because I like the smell of... air... outside.
If I was rich, I would have a house that was basically just windows. Even glass floors...
I hate it when people touch my butt. A lot. If someone slaps my butt I just want to punch them in the face. My mom knows that. She takes advantage of it, but she also pays for it.
I do not like pictures of myself. Unless I am making an abnormal hidious face. The uglier, the better! As you probably already knew...
I tend to over exaggerate... (tend is actually an under-exaguration)
If I could listen to one band for the rest of my life, hands down it would be Rascal Flatts. Album? Feels Like Today.
I punch really hard. Sometimes like a man.
I have strong muscles, and huge arms (thanks mom) it basically looks like I work out a lot. But they aren't worth anything. I am not strong at all.
I think I have weird shaped ears, earphones will not stay in, and if they do, they hurt me!
Sometimes I wish you could just listen to the conversation on the phone like you can go through texts. If someone invents that, they will be my hero. Or, if someone already has, I would like to be informed.
I do not like the new iTunes. At. All.
If I could pick one person to be on a desert island with me for the rest of my life, I'd probably be my mom, Ash, Karl, and Kate. Yeah. I can't pick one. They all make me laugh and I'm glad I'm stuck with them forever :)
I'd rather be a little bit sunburned all the time then my normal pasty white. I got mistaken for tan in a weird lighting the other day. It was a proud moment.
I wish everyone in the world kept a blog. It's pretty much my favorite thing.
I'm obsessed with quotes. I am planning on having a whole wall covered in quotes when I get a house.
I blow off steam or stress by playing the piano. Oddly, I didn't even figure this out on my own. My mom told me and I was like  oh yeah, I do.
I like to lay on the floor... I don't like comfy bed, I feel like I'm suffocating or something... I decided that when I get married and I'm poor, we'll just sleep on the floor... hope he's ok with it...
I could watch the same movie over and over again. I had a friend inform me that I would have seen as many movies as him in my life (which is a lot) if I didn't watch the same movie over and over again.
I can make the craziest faces probably in the world.
Sunday nights make me go crazy for some super odd reason.
I cannot play the piano while people are singing. It completely throws me off! I have no idea why... but I'm working on it.
I have to change the background on my phone every once in a while or I get bored.
I pretty much always have music playing. Either I'm singing it in my head, out loud, or it's playing in the car or the computer.
I hate the dentist.
I talk to much.
I have no clothing style. I copy what other people do, and usually fail at it. For fear of being put on What not to Wear, I counsel myself to not wear sweatshirts and sweats every day. It sometimes works.
I am super flaky. I don't mean, dandruff, I flake on people quite often. It's something I'm working on.
I don't do laundry until it is absolutely necessary.
Country is the only way to go.

Life Lately :)

Here are some fun picture updates of my life lately... actually... now that I look at it, it's more like other people's lives lately ;)

Karly went to sweethearts with her sweetheart Gavin (aka, Gavie-poo as we like to call him)

They're pretty cute wouldn't you say? This is that dress's second time to sweethearts!

We went to Austin's farewell. Found that amazing picture of him and ate a lot of food ;)

Of course there would be a baking picture in here.... haha these are chocolate cupcakes with chocolate chip cookie dough frosting :)

Ashley's last basketball game. On senior night.

Isn't this a beauty? They hate it.

This one isn't about Ash...

This will not go center or the other pictures comes in front of it... so sorry... Katelyn and her team got third place in their region!!!
Jackie and I went to the BYU game :) I kinda like that girl...  ;)

Saw this AMAZING movie!

This....
Turned into this! Minty chocolate cake balls
Bought some things at this great place!

So.... beautiful.

140$ shoes. Worth it? I'm not sure yet... ;)

Had a really fun time with these two :) we laughed so hard!

Russ... this was him and Jackie before. Crazy huh? Almost 3 years ago!

Did fireworks in winter ;)

Babysat these amazing kids :)

Held this cute dog :)

I started putting a scripture every day on my instagram :) my instagram name is- ncalder44 if you want to follow me ;)

Having trust in Him.

I love playing the piano. I don't know if you knew that, but really that's because I have no idea who reads this... but I can play most of the hymns (known hymns.. not like I'm a Pilgram I'm a Stranger) and if I haven't played it before,  I usually don't have a hard time playing it (Exception- True to the Faith)
I have been playing the piano for about 10 years. I know, that sounds like a long time. You would think I would be this really good piano player. Well, I'm not. It's not my talent or skill even a little bit. I do not come from an extremely musically talented family... I have had to work like a crazy person (I usually sit and play the piano for about 30min-1 hour a day) just to be able to play the hymns. The thing I hate about it, I can only sight read. I have no musical ability whatsoever; so sitting and making up a song will never happen. I can't even hear it or pick something out... I can only read the music. Which has been a very good thing for me, and I'm so grateful that Heavenly Father has given me the ability to do it.
Ok. Enough on that.
I was thinking about it the other day... I am probably going to lose a lot of my piano playing ability on my mission. We won't have a piano (obviously) and I will probably never have to opportunity to go to a church on my p-day to practice for a while. Besides that, how much do you think my companion would like that?
So it was kind of bumming me out. But then I remembered a conversation with a costumer at Costco that I had a while back. She was telling me about how her granddaughter wanted to serve a mission, but was an amazing gymnast. She was afraid that she would lose everything if she went on a mission for a year and a half. The grandma then told me that she explained to her that if she had faith, did what Heavenly Father wanted her to do, and trusted in him, that it would all work out for the best. The best meaning that she could come back and pick up where she left off. Or come back and be even better than she was before. Or maybe come back and not be able to do it anymore, but find a different path to go on.
When I remembered that I was soooooo happy. That little dumb fear of losing my piano playing abilities was completely gone. I know that what I am doing is exactly what my Heavenly Father wants me to be doing. And that's all that matters. If we follow him and do what he asks, everything else will work out the way that it is supposed to. :)

When we thought that was cool...

Remember all of those silly things that we thought were so cool... whether it was fashion of the time, foods, or even just simple things that when you are a kid are just pure awesome?

Those poncho things that looked like weird grandma sweaters...

Or when the super long jacket knitted other grandma things were also cool...

We aren't going to even go into game boys, pokemon cards, pencil boxes, the glue bookmarks from the pencil boxes

In my 6th grade class hot Cheetos had just come out and everybody loved them... it was the biggest and probably cheapest auction item when we would auction off our points we had been saving for months. The person who won the Cheetos was basically crowned a hero.

Walkman's that skipped the disc when you walked.

DVD players in your car.

Automatic car doors on your van.

The fast drying nail polish.

Going into the teachers lounge.

Being able to skip class.

How the tables folded up in the lunch room.

Jumping the farthest off the swing was the coolest thing ever.

That huge colorful parachute thing (ok, let's face it... we all still want to do that again)

The one kid who would eat paper.

Making those long paper chains for events that seemed to take years not just months or days.

When driving in your moms lap was soooo fun.

When you are the first on the bus, at the bus stop, or get the very back seat.

Gel Pens.

Putting olives on your fingers.

Robin Egg lip stick.

Being able to make those paper fortune tellers.

Karly's Medallion

My sister Karly got her young women medallion on Sunday! I can't even explain how proud of her I am! I love her so much! That is such a huge accomplishment!

Desserts, night golf and bomberman!

On Thursday I had such a fun time! Zach told me about this place called La Jolla, and it was a bakery. We decided that we HAD to go, of course, because La Jolla is the name of my apartment. So, on Thursday he came. We went there and got a cupcake to share (of course it was expensive). It was super delicious I recommend it! ;)
So we were feeling random and adventurous so we then decided to get dinner (since we hadn't had it yet) so we then went and ate at McDonald's. Haha we ate in the car splitting a 20 piece chicken nugget. Then we went to "The Chocolate." SO good! I loved how cute it was and we got a delicious cookie ice-cream thing. Then we talked in the car for a little bit (one of our favorite things to do).
That was a blast! Then, that same night and I went and hung out with my cousin Danny and his cousin Westley. This was a blast! We were planning on going mini golfing at trafalga (putt-putting they call it) but it closed at 10:00 and we got there at like 9:45. So we still wanted to do something fun so we went to Smith's, got some treats, and went to the park. We threw a big Frisbee and then we each had a golf ball and club and we played with a par 3. It was so FUN!  You wouldn't think right? But we couldn't stop laughing most of the time. We had some good times, Wes hitting Danny with the golf ball. It looked like a slow motion movie! We all fell to the ground laughing on that one. Then they both had to pee and Danny told us when he was little he would pee down the slides (ya I know, now you never want to go down a slide at a park again) and then they both went off and peed while I closed my eyes..... ya I know.... farting, I won't even mention that... ew... and then we played "mini-golf" on the play ground... that was an adventure! Swinging on the swings was entertaining. Then Danny and Westley both had a contest... they hit their golf ball has hard has they could and then ran to see who could find it first (it was dark so obviously it was kind of hard). It ended up being a laughing beat up movie scene. Literally, I was looking at it from afar and could only see their shadows so it looked really funny and all I could hear was laughing. They later told me (in movie form using words like actors and scene) that Westley had found it or acted like he did and Danny couldn't find his so he was beating him up for it... something like that... haha I really don't know but it was SO much fun! So much better than going mini-golfing!
Then we went back to Danny's house (by this time, it's like midnight) and we played bombmer (idk how to spell that.... I'm actually proud of that) man. I won twice... one time because I forgot I was playing and Danny and Wes ended up killing each other before I was even out of the blocks. And the other time Danny died at the first and wanted Westley dead so I gave him my controller. This showed my how competitive guys can get over video games and it was so funny! The only video game I get competitive over is Mario Cart... but that's actually because I'm decent at it.
I ended up going home at 2:00 after lots of bombmer man, you tube videos, music, and fun. It was such a blast! I just think the most random things, are always the most fun :)
