Happy Birthday Katelyn!

My other palsie.
Me and Katelyn have a lot in common. A lot. She pretty much is my twin. Ash is my look a like but is nothing like me. Katelyn thinks exactly like me. That’s what worries me. ;)
Some stuff that we love to do:
·      Watch spongebob and laugh so hard.
·      Quote spongebob for everything (“Enchalads!”, Spongebob! “Get out of my taco!”, “Are you Squidward? That’s ok, I’ll wait.”)
·      Eat as much chocolate as we can.
·      Talk about nothing into all hours of the night laughing so hard and getting in trouble.
·      Acting like we are way stupid.
·      Just doing random things.
Things we have in common:
·      We love Spongebob
·      Patrick is our favorite.
·      We are addicted to chocolate
·      We can eat more than men.
·      We like the same stupid ipod games and music
·      We know how to annoy the poop out of Karly and Ashley.
·      We know how to get what we want.
·      We suck at math and school in general.
·      We like playing basketball.
·      We rock at Mario Kart and rock band.
·      We love acting like total creeps.

Anyways. Katelyn is really one of my best friends as well. We always have fun together and laugh our guts out most of the time. I can be my insane self around her, without her getting too creeped.
She is the cutest ever and I’m completely jealous of her good looks and social skills. She has a lot of friends but still stays true to who she is and stands up for her values and standards. She knows who she is and loves her Heavenly Father and Earthly Father more than anything. Another thing we have in common is thinking deeply. She feels things deeper than most people and maybe thinks too hard about things kind of like myself. She knows when she feels the spirit, and has a great relationship with her Heavenly Father. She is a true friend and is so sweet because she doesn’t like people to hate her or have anything against her. She is an amazing girl and I know she will grow up to be a great mother and wife for someone really lucky and special. J If I ever let her get married ;)

Danny's present...

Danny is my cousin, who really was meant to be my brother. He's awesome and we have the funnest times together. In like September we were shopping at Kohls's so he just tagged along. Of course shopping for clothes in boring for a guy, but he puts up with it ;) So we were looking on the clearance rack and he found this purple tank top that said vacations on it. He freaked out and said I want this so bad! He carried it around forever. My mom told me she wanted to get it for him for Christmas but it be a surprise (Ya, these are the kinds of things my mom thinks of) so we went out to the car while she bought the clothes and stuff. He didn't suspect a thing.
We had almost forgotten about it until Christmas Eve my mom freaks out and says remember that shirt we got for Danny?! We searched and finally found it.
He opened it on the day after Christmas. We could hardly wait and were so excited to see him laugh his face off...
Haha... ya... that didn't happen. He had completely forgotten about it and we had to explain. Then he remembered and we laughed. He, of course, put it on. It was a size small, but oh well ;)

Early Morning Fun

Holy cows. After waking up at 5:00am yesterday and then 6:00am this morning I'm pretty tired. I know that's totally pathetic because I've been getting plenty of sleep over the break, but still...
I really hate sleeping down stairs on my couch in my house. It freaks me out so bad for some reason. I sleep fine, but I'm just afraid that if someone comes in our house to murder or rob us they will get me first. That's just not a good idea. I know it sounds way stupid, but I really am super afraid of it! So, I woke up around 5:00am to my dogs freaking out and barking at the front door. Oh man. Scared me silly. But they eventually stopped and I was able to get back to sleep. Then at 6:00am I wake up  to them barking again and hearing my mom's door open... she wasn't supposed to get home from work at this time. I freaked out. Then a man figure came walking towards me... oh my heck... I sat straight up and literally got ready to attack. Then, he comes and sits on my legs!? What the heck!!!???
Ya. it was Danny my brother cousin. He laughed so hard because he said he was going to say something but then decided after I had sat straight up and looked like I was going to hit him, he decided not to. Good plan. Man. What a weirdo. You would think I would be used to it by now because it happen more often than you might think. So we wake up my other sisters and me, him, and Karl head to Walmart because I actually bet him my mom wasn't at work because I swear she had said she had the rest of the day off. We called her. She was at work. So I had to make him crepes.
We went to walmart got some strawberries, bananas, and black berries (and some other random things) for crepes. We watched part of The Last Song and then had a crepe feast... at 7:00am. It was great. We then played Mario Cart for a while and then all fell asleep and he went home when Ash had to leave for practice. This sounds a little random, but we do stuff like this all the time. This is why I love my family so much! ;)
So here's some fun pictures:

"No pictures..."
OH, and the other thing we got was this weird cozy pajama thing... Danny just got it for my mom. It was one of those "as seen on tv things so it was pretty cheesy ;)" She LOVED it! It even had a zipper for the back so she can do her business ;)

Ya, she fell asleep in them...
What a great morning ;)

Happy Birthday Mom!

My Mom:

So now’s my time to write about my mom J

How do I start this?
Well, my mom is literally my best friend. I don’t know where I’d be without her. She’s always there for me, even when I make mistakes over and over again. She’s very patient with me, because I’m for sure a child that needs some strong patience. I seriously hope I don’t have kids like me when I grow up.  She is the most Christ-like person I have ever met. She is companionate to others and thinks of everyone but herself. She is always looking for ways to serve others around her, even if she doesn’t know them. She is constantly telling me to help others in need. Whether it’s helping them carry groceries or helping them clean their house. She has always been service oriented and I think she gets a lot of them from her mother, my grandma.
My mom knows me better than I know myself, as I think she does most people. She loves getting to know people and learn about their lives. But she can also see right through you. That’s probably why I’ve never really lied to her, she would know I was lying before I even started to speak. But she doesn’t use that gift to take advantage of people, she mostly uses it to help people and teach others in ways that they will understand. She could always explain my homework to me better than anyone else, I also think my sister Ashley obtained that gift from her as well.
She can help anyone do anything. She is amazingly smart about a lot of things. I would be doing my CAN homework and she knew every answer to almost every question I had. I asked her how she knew all of this, she said it was because she has learned so much in her life. I hope I can have that attitude more often. She always sees life as a great learning experience and looks to learn something new every day.
Another gift my fabulous mother has is actually a girt from the scriptures. She has the gift of discerning spirits. Maybe it’s not the way that most people look at it, but I see it in her. She always follows the spirit in everything she does, and she knows when there is even a small vibe of darkness in a room. She knows when it’s the spirit talking to her, or if it’s Satan. She can see the light in others and always keeps those people close.
My mom knows Heavenly Father like a best friend. She talks to him constantly, and has a great relationship with him. She always has and asks him for advice constantly in her life and really lets the spirit guide her. She knows who she is, and where she’s going, and is never afraid to share that with others.
One of the things that makes her very mad is when others don’t treat people with the respect that they deserve. She always makes sure that people get treated with the respect they deserve, or better.
My mom is my greatest example in this. She never talks bad about someone in front of their face, or behind it. She will never gossip about anyone, no matter what wrong they have done to her. If you have a secret, you know it’s safe with her.
Sharing the gospel in her life has never been a challenge for her. I’m sure she’s made a lasting expression on almost everyone she has met and will ever come in contact with. She ahs never been afraid to share or stand up for what she believes in. She knows what she believes, and will never ever deny it. Her testimony is firm and will never fall, no matter what the circumstance.
I love her more than I could ever explain. I would risk my life to save hers in a heartbeat. I appreciate her more and more and her strength to move forward, forgive, and forget. She takes care of me more than I deserve, and I can tell with every word and action that she loves me, and I hope to be as good of a mother to my children as she is to me.
