On Thursday I had such a fun time! Zach told me about this place called La Jolla, and it was a bakery. We decided that we HAD to go, of course, because La Jolla is the name of my apartment. So, on Thursday he came. We went there and got a cupcake to share (of course it was expensive). It was super delicious I recommend it! ;)
So we were feeling random and adventurous so we then decided to get dinner (since we hadn't had it yet) so we then went and ate at McDonald's. Haha we ate in the car splitting a 20 piece chicken nugget. Then we went to "The Chocolate." SO good! I loved how cute it was and we got a delicious cookie ice-cream thing. Then we talked in the car for a little bit (one of our favorite things to do).
That was a blast! Then, that same night and I went and hung out with my cousin Danny and his cousin Westley. This was a blast! We were planning on going mini golfing at trafalga (putt-putting they call it) but it closed at 10:00 and we got there at like 9:45. So we still wanted to do something fun so we went to Smith's, got some treats, and went to the park. We threw a big Frisbee and then we each had a golf ball and club and we played with a par 3. It was so FUN! You wouldn't think right? But we couldn't stop laughing most of the time. We had some good times, Wes hitting Danny with the golf ball. It looked like a slow motion movie! We all fell to the ground laughing on that one. Then they both had to pee and Danny told us when he was little he would pee down the slides (ya I know, now you never want to go down a slide at a park again) and then they both went off and peed while I closed my eyes..... ya I know.... farting, I won't even mention that... ew... and then we played "mini-golf" on the play ground... that was an adventure! Swinging on the swings was entertaining. Then Danny and Westley both had a contest... they hit their golf ball has hard has they could and then ran to see who could find it first (it was dark so obviously it was kind of hard). It ended up being a laughing beat up movie scene. Literally, I was looking at it from afar and could only see their shadows so it looked really funny and all I could hear was laughing. They later told me (in movie form using words like actors and scene) that Westley had found it or acted like he did and Danny couldn't find his so he was beating him up for it... something like that... haha I really don't know but it was SO much fun! So much better than going mini-golfing!
Then we went back to Danny's house (by this time, it's like midnight) and we played bombmer (idk how to spell that.... I'm actually proud of that) man. I won twice... one time because I forgot I was playing and Danny and Wes ended up killing each other before I was even out of the blocks. And the other time Danny died at the first and wanted Westley dead so I gave him my controller. This showed my how competitive guys can get over video games and it was so funny! The only video game I get competitive over is Mario Cart... but that's actually because I'm decent at it.
I ended up going home at 2:00 after lots of bombmer man, you tube videos, music, and fun. It was such a blast! I just think the most random things, are always the most fun :)

Christ-like figures
I love going to my home ward on Sunday :) I just always feel really at home and happy :)
Testimony meeting is especially great. I love hearing the little kids sweet simples testimonies, especially since I don't get to hear them in my ward.
But something that has just recently been going on (I think) makes me want to attend my home ward even more! We had a boy named Brandon in Young Men's. He has a disability, but is one of the sweetest kids you have ever seen. I don't really know his whole back ground story well enough to tell it; but it really is better than amazing.
So anyways, he actually gets to pass the sacrament. Some people might wonder how that is even possible or if it's even necessary. But I just know that my bishop is called and inspired of God and was prompted to do this.
So he has another boy in our ward walk around with him. He stays right next to his side the whole time, guiding him and watching him closely, only interfering when needed. I believe this happens every week and it gets me choked up every time. It makes the sacrament that much more meaningful and special to see someone acting as Christ would if He was here.
We are taught that Christ is our prime example and we should strive to become like him. Both of these young men obviously know what the definition of this is. I know that Heavenly Father is proud of both of them and .
Christ knows each of us perfectly and knows what is best for us. He loves us more than we can ever comprehend. He died for us so that we can live with him one day. He is the light of the world and I know that if we follow him we can live with him and our families forever one day. I know He is watching over each and everyone one of us at all times and is always there.
Thank you for being such and amazing example to not only me, but everyone in our ward!

Locksmith Anyone???
This is a pretty interesting story... it defiantly shows why we have the sign on our apartment door that says: "Don't forget your keys!"
First off, I always forget my keys. I have been locked out numerous times. I'm so grateful for my wonderful roommates who are always so kind when they have to come let me in. :)
So one of my friends Devin asked me on a date for Saturday night. We had fun going to the volleyball game (even thought they lost) and going to get ice cream at Cold Stone afterwords. Then I was getting tired so we headed back to my apartment. We were walking up the stairs and I stopped and said, "Oh my heck. I forgot my keys."
Now normally this wouldn't be a big issue, but Alyssa was in Vegas and Emily was at home. We tried getting the window to open. It wouldn't budge (funny story about that. One time Emily was locked out, but it was in the summer, we had one of our windows open a little bit and she actually climbed through! Soooo funny!). So we were calling all kinds of people in our ward seeing if anyone could pick locks. No one could. So, we were coming up with all these other plans. Luckily Emily was going to be back that night so we just had to wait it out.
We went over to someone in our wards house and hung out with them for a little bit. They were great and we had a fun time ;)
So then Emily got home and I was able to get in. Haha I felt so stupid! But it was pretty funny I have to say, and Devin was really nice to stay with me until I was able to get in ;)

Music's impact!
Music has such a profound impact on all of us. I'm sure we all know that. Your favorite song comes on and you jam out to it, singing at the top of your lungs. It puts you in a good mood, or a bad mood. My music really defines who I am. If you were too look through my iPod you would instantly know what kind of person I was. I would hope...
So music. I love music so much. Music really just is a huge thing in most people's life. We usually see more people with headphones in, then without.
So recently my Book of Mormon teacher was talking about music. He really only talked about it for a second, but it really made me think. He just said something along the lines of going through our movies and music and making sure that we aren't embarrassed if the Savior or prophet was looking through our music. We have all heard this more than once I assume; but this time, I was determined! I decided that there were a couple things I had on there that I would not be comfortable if the prophet saw on my iPod. Not that I have super bad songs, but maybe a couple things that I really shouldn't.
So, I started. I went though iTunes and deleted stuff without hesitation. It was nice because I needed to clean out my "little kid" music anyways. So I went thought and it felt amazing! It was like a game! It made me feel so much better! Now I can just listen to my music and not have to worry!
I seriously encourage everyone to do it! It might be hard at first. But then you will end up wondering why you spend a dollar on some of the crap you have! But you will feel AMAZING and it will be just one more small and simple thing that will bring you closer to the Savior and help you live a more virtuous life.
3 second glimpse
When I was on my little car ride a couple weeks ago I had a really spiritual experience as you can see. But, there was one thing that I was reminded of yesterday that I forgot to share that I think changed my view of many things for life.
While I was driving I couldn't stop thinking of my family and how much I love them. I love them all more than I could ever explain to anyone. Every single one of them makes my life better and I have never been able to imagine my life without them.
Except when I was driving home that night I imagined my life without them. It only lasted about 3 seconds, thankfully. That's what got me crying. My brain and heart literally could not think of my life without them. But in those 3 seconds I felt pain like I had never felt before. My life without them would be the worst thing that could ever happen. I wouldn't know what to do with myself.
So my sister Karly bore her testimony in church today. I haven't cried in a testimony in a while. I'm just not a huge crier, but I couldn't control myself after she said "I know families are forever, and I can't imagine my life without them." That was exactly what I was thinking of last night so it was a sensitive subject and really got to me. I really needed to hear that, because I CANNOT imagine the eternities without them.
I would die in an instant for any one of them without hesitation. But those 3 seconds really had an impact on me because it makes me want to be better to them and cherish the time I have with them now, before it's gone. Because that time could be 40 years from now, or 4 days from now. Every second counts, I don't want to waste any of those precious seconds.

Thunder Ridge
Well, sadly there is exactly one month until my reign as Miss. Saratoga Springs is over. I know. I feel like crying too. Ok but really, I sort of do, it's been so much fun and I don' want to give it up! I have been able to participate and help with so many things! Today was one of my favorite things to do though... ;)
I was invited to go to Thunder Ridge Elementary and help them out with their reading super bowl :) I'd first like to say, this was such a good idea and the person that thought of it is a complete genius! So all the teachers and the principal read this book and they had kind of a jeopardy type thing where the faculty was against the principal with questions from the book. Then earlier they had competitions with the different grade with who could read the most so they announced those as well.
But on the beginning, I walking the school and the kids were walking folding their arms in a line to the lunch room. Ha you know how long the lines are, I didn't want to mess them up so I just waiting there. Ha then the little girls were staring at me and whispering to their friends and stuff ;) it was so cute! Then I waited in the faculty room for it to start.
They made me a "float" (aka, the zamboni thing they use to clean the floors with). IT WAS AMAZING!!! I loved it more than anything! The best float anyone could ever ask for! ;) TRULY!
So I went in and they were all cheering for me like I was a real celebrity!! Ha I couldn't stop laughing! It was all just so silly! But then I went up and I threw the football to the principal kind of like what they do in the super bowl I think... ;)
Then I helped keep score for the whole thing :) It was AMAZING! I know I keep saying that! But seriously, SO MUCH FUN! Totally made my week!
Oh PLUS my 5th grade teacher was there! I kept looking at her trying to remember where I had seen her! It was freaking me out! Then afterwords, she came up and said, "Nicole! Do you remember me?" I was like yes but I can't remember where from and it's driving me crazy!"
She then said, "I was your 5th grade teacher!"
I FREAKED out!
Isn't that crazy!? AH! She remembered me and my full name! NOW THAT's A GOOD TEACHER! ;)
Obviously, it was amazing! More to come! :D

I don't have the brains right now to think of a title! :P
Right now I feel like my brain/head is literally going to EXPLODE! I have had the craziest week and it still isn’t over! I’m actually sitting in my psychology class right now (as usual) waiting for it to start. I can’t even think right now…. So forgive me because this might be confusing. First, someone like me does NOT get better on their stats exam than their music exam… weird. I think something in my brain has been switched. Maybe I’ll learn about it in this class right now… ;) To make it worse this is not my favorite class and I have to pee way bad and I’m STARVING! But, I didn’t have time to get something to eat or go to the bathroom because I got out of my stats test too late. I was in there for 2 ½ hours! It usually only takes me 1 hour for a normal test (but I guess math is different)! I was going insane! But I thought that I did really good on it, but I didn’t. Like literally, I thought I got at least an 80% (which is good in my eyes). Nope. I’m not going to say what I got. Plus, because I only thought my test would take at the most about and hour and a half I only planned on that much time, and I missed my favorite class that I wait so long to go to, my Book of Mormon class. To make this day even worse I woke up late so I didn’t get to my Stats lab. The alarm was set, I don’t remember me waking up to it. Even worse, I need more sleep, I have weird aches all over my body, I have a big paper that is hardly done due tomorrow, I have no time today to do it (literally), my hair isn’t done (that sounds stupid, but sometimes it makes me mad hahaha ok I’m never saying that out loud again, it sounded stupid) and AHHHHHH I just really need to pee!!!! I’m going INSANE! I probably would be crying now, but the truth is, I have a photo shoot today so I don’t want to have puffy eyes (believe it or not, I actually do have SOME control over my emotions). I can’t wait till Saturday! It will be a break, but then it just means it’s closer to next week… which will just bring on a whole new set of challenges, mainly because I have a psychology test. SCHOOL IS HARD!!!
Ok! I’m done with the negative! WOW! Sorry about that. At least you can all tell from this blog that my life is far from perfect ;) But I had a wonderful day yesterday! There are lots of reasons for that, but I’m not going to say because I have no idea who reads this ;) mainly because it’s read though facebook ;)
BUUUUT on Thursday Laura (my roommate friend) invited me to join their intermural soccer team! Whooohoooo! It was way fun (even though I suck at soccer and don’t remember hardly anything, it’s been since 11th grade since I played) and I got some good exercise! Those are the best combinations ;)
So there you go. There is just 1% of my crazy week. I don’t really want to re-live it or think about what tomorrow will bring, so that’s all you are going to get ;) ;)
