My Mom:
So now’s my time to write about my mom J
How do I start this?
Well, my mom is literally my best friend. I don’t know where I’d be without her. She’s always there for me, even when I make mistakes over and over again. She’s very patient with me, because I’m for sure a child that needs some strong patience. I seriously hope I don’t have kids like me when I grow up. She is the most Christ-like person I have ever met. She is companionate to others and thinks of everyone but herself. She is always looking for ways to serve others around her, even if she doesn’t know them. She is constantly telling me to help others in need. Whether it’s helping them carry groceries or helping them clean their house. She has always been service oriented and I think she gets a lot of them from her mother, my grandma.
My mom knows me better than I know myself, as I think she does most people. She loves getting to know people and learn about their lives. But she can also see right through you. That’s probably why I’ve never really lied to her, she would know I was lying before I even started to speak. But she doesn’t use that gift to take advantage of people, she mostly uses it to help people and teach others in ways that they will understand. She could always explain my homework to me better than anyone else, I also think my sister Ashley obtained that gift from her as well.
She can help anyone do anything. She is amazingly smart about a lot of things. I would be doing my CAN homework and she knew every answer to almost every question I had. I asked her how she knew all of this, she said it was because she has learned so much in her life. I hope I can have that attitude more often. She always sees life as a great learning experience and looks to learn something new every day.
Another gift my fabulous mother has is actually a girt from the scriptures. She has the gift of discerning spirits. Maybe it’s not the way that most people look at it, but I see it in her. She always follows the spirit in everything she does, and she knows when there is even a small vibe of darkness in a room. She knows when it’s the spirit talking to her, or if it’s Satan. She can see the light in others and always keeps those people close.
My mom knows Heavenly Father like a best friend. She talks to him constantly, and has a great relationship with him. She always has and asks him for advice constantly in her life and really lets the spirit guide her. She knows who she is, and where she’s going, and is never afraid to share that with others.
One of the things that makes her very mad is when others don’t treat people with the respect that they deserve. She always makes sure that people get treated with the respect they deserve, or better.
My mom is my greatest example in this. She never talks bad about someone in front of their face, or behind it. She will never gossip about anyone, no matter what wrong they have done to her. If you have a secret, you know it’s safe with her.
Sharing the gospel in her life has never been a challenge for her. I’m sure she’s made a lasting expression on almost everyone she has met and will ever come in contact with. She ahs never been afraid to share or stand up for what she believes in. She knows what she believes, and will never ever deny it. Her testimony is firm and will never fall, no matter what the circumstance.
I love her more than I could ever explain. I would risk my life to save hers in a heartbeat. I appreciate her more and more and her strength to move forward, forgive, and forget. She takes care of me more than I deserve, and I can tell with every word and action that she loves me, and I hope to be as good of a mother to my children as she is to me.
